About Crystal V. Olin
From the United States, Crystal V. Olin now lives and works out of Melbourne. She studied urban design and classical architecture at the University of Notre Dame, which included two semesters at Il Centro Studi Architettura in Rome, Italy, and numerous European study tours. She received her Master of Architecture and Master of Architectural Design and Urbanism in May 2010 from the University of Notre Dame, and her Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from the University of Colorado in May 2006.
Crystal’s designs are internationally recognized and published. One of these designs was an urban master plan and architectural proposal for the expansion of Denver’s historic Union Station and surrounding neighborhood.
In 2008, under the direction of Philip Bess, Crystal helped lead an urban design charrette for the town of Northampton, Massachusetts, which culminated in a comprehensive master plan for the community.
In 2005, Crystal participated in an urban design charrette for the University Hill District of Boulder, Colorado.
During her work for various architecture firms and other associations, Crystal has been involved not only in high end residential design, but also in urban design proposals and sustainability initiatives. She is a member of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art, and was elected a Board Member of the ICA&CA New England Chapter. She is also a member of the International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture, & Urbanism.
Crystal is passionate about urbanism and architecture, and retains a holistic view of how the wellbeing of society is interconnected with these disciplines.
